Travel to Las Vegas from the Philippines

Boxing is incredibly popular in the Philippines and many residents, both local and expatriates will want to get to Las Vegas, Nevada to the MGM Grand in Nevada on the 12th of November 2011 to be present at the much anticipated WBO Welterweight boxing championship between Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao.  This is truly set to be one of those fights that will stay in the minds of boxing enthusiasts for years and many people are making arrangements to attend.  Interestingly enough, the Philippines are building their own Las Vegas, so make sure you don’t accidentally go to that one, as you will not be able to see the fight from there – or at least not live in the ring!

If you are trying to travel from the Philippines to Las Vegas, your will more than likely have to travel by plane.  Your exact options will depend on which airport you will be departing from, as there are many airports in the Philippines.  However, only very few of these airports will offer direct flights to Las Vegas, so you are likely to have to find connecting flights.

Direct flights are available from Manila airport, generally on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.  You can also fly on the same days from General Santos Airport.  Both these airports are covered by Air Philippines and prices can be very expensive.  It is always advisable to compare the market to find out what the cheapest – or the quickest, depending on where your preferences lie – really are.  Speaking to travel advisors is a great idea to help you find the best option for you.

If you are hoping to attend the big fight on the 12th of November, it is recommended you book your flight sooner rather than later, as airplane seats are running out quickly! If you can’t make it to the fight we recommend you to watch Pacquiao vs marquez live online!
