Car hire in England

Hiring a car in England isn’t exactly the cheapest experience in the world, but there are ways to try to reduce that invoice. First of all, location. If you’re renting a car from a London car rental right next to the airport or really close if not on the center of town, it will be a lot more expensive than renting a car from, let’s say, a Kent car hire company. And Kent is still one of the counties close to the Greater London metropolitan area, the further you get from the major urban centers or normal places of holiday or commerce, the cheaper rentals can get.

Another major factor that influences the overall price of the rental is the time of the rental. And this influences the price in two ways. First of all, there’s the usual early bird discount: the earlier you book, the better the price will be. Another area where time is a factor is when deciding the time of week you’re renting. During the weekend prices will normally go down, so a weekend rental will tend to be cheaper.

Another good advice is to book your rental online, as most companies have an online booking discount.
